About West Highland
West Highland Tax Services was founded by Alex Scott, a Virginia CPA with nearly 15 years of public accounting experience including corporate and individual taxation. During his tenure he specialized in multi-state and local planning and preparation which makes him uniquely qualified to assist those with multi-jurisdictional tax issues. In addition, Alex is a serial entrepreneur starting and supporting multiple businesses in his lifetime. Alex started West Highland in 2025 to help those with small businesses navigate the uncertainty surrounding entrepreneurship as well as those who have tax exposure to multiple states. Alex is a Washington, D.C. area native who enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids.
